Nitinaht area's cultural and natural resources are known to the Ditidaht as having great potential for tourism development. The Ditidaht have been active in developing tourism-related operations on the Malachan Reserve. 

 

Ditidaht Visitors Centre is the  general store that houses not only a small food operation and gas bar operation but is the hub of the tourist community and manager of the Nitinat Lake Windsurfers' Park...For more info go to Windurfers' Campsite

Next door to the Visitors' Centre is the Nitinat Lake Motel. This nine room facility caters to the tourist and business travelers alike offering kitchen suites and laundry facilities. With the increase of tourism activities in the area along with the increasing demand for eco‑tourism, wilderness tourism and cultural tourism, the Ditidaht First Nation will establish the tourism market and the opportunities presently available.
